We aim to inspire the highest type of womanhood.
At Gamma Phi we strive to build confident women of character who celebrate sisterhood and make a difference in the world around us. We do this through our four core values of Love, Labor, Learning and Loyalty.
The strongest attribute of Gamma Phi Beta: Sisterhood. Although there are over 150 members in the UCSB chapter, every sister is dedicated to strengthening the bonds between each member which epitomizes the ideals of the organization.
Here at UC Santa Barbara, the Delta Psi Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta was founded in 1983 and has continued to grow in size and strength. The Delta Psi chapter continues to exceed the expectations of earlier sisters by excelling in academics, sports, philanthropy, and involvement on UCSB's campus. Our members are involved in numerous clubs and organizations on campus and dedicate themselves to philanthropic services volunteering for Camp Kesem, Challah for Hunger, Girls Inc., Adopt-a-Block and Isla Vista Elementary.
We strive to be a premiere women's organization with a winning spirit through: seeking cultural, demographic and economic diversity, the development of chapter, community and inter-fraternal leaders, providing programming which addresses issues relevant to women and society, the strengthening of resources, a focus on being member-driven, and management of the organization through volunteerism. We will build confident women of character who celebrate sisterhood and make a difference in the world around us.
At Gamma Phi you find countless new friends who become very special to you. You can count on them, trust them, and share with them. A sister is a friend forever. The connections made in Gamma Phi Beta are ones that benefit each sister for a lifetime.
