Letter from the MVP
My name is Jenna and I’m the Membership VP of Gamma Phi, which means I am in charge of all things recruitment or rush! When I came to UCSB as a freshman, I wasn’t sure if being in a sorority was for me. Now looking back, I can’t imagine what my life would be like if I hadn’t made that first step and signed up for rush. Go Greek and try it out! Gamma Phi has impacted every part of my life— from looking at our major board to find friends to sit with in class, to using our Facebook group “Help a Sista Out” to borrow a blouse for an interview, to even having people to watch The Bachelor with you on a big screen. My sisters are always there to grab Buffalo Chicken Cheese fries with me, to go to the beach with me, and to study with me. A sorority should be a place of support and sisterhood above all else— and Gamma Phi is truly my home. Our motto is “Building Strong Girls” and we take it seriously! Through volunteer work, officer leadership opportunities, and study groups my sisters inspire me to be the best version of myself I can be. They are there to cheer me on when I have a good day and cheer me up when it’s a bad one. It’s corny, I know, but sisterhood truly isn’t just four years, it’s for life. I’m so excited for Fall Recruitment and can’t wait to show you all the wonderful things Gamma Phi has to offer! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!
